Real
Estate Market Continuing To Evolve
Taking
at look at the Nanaimo Real Estate Marketplace,
this summer has been a fairly quiet time in terms
of business. As a result we are hoping for a busy
fall selling season - which is traditionally the
case. Realtors today are counseling their Sellers
to be more realistic when it comes to establishing
the list price of their homes. Our market has undergone
a major shift during the past year or so - with
an increase in the housing inventory and a reduction
in the number of actual sales. The mortgage meltdown
in the States, added to a generally slower American
economy, coupled with a softer Real Estate market
in Eastern Canada have all had an effect on our
local market. The impact may not be a severe as
elsewhere in North America, but we have not escaped
entirely unscathed. The prospects for the rest of
the year and early into 2009 are generally viewed
to be positive, with gradual real estate sales growth
and a marginal increase in economic activity expected
for our region. If you wouldd like to learn more
Im always happy to provide a market update
at any time, so give me a call if you are curious
about the state of our current Real Estate marketplace.
Finally, as always, I can not say enough about the
importance of repeat or referral business. The core
of my business is you, past clients who have referred
me to their family, friends or co-workers. The trust
youve shown by passing my name onto those
you care about is a real vote of confidence in me
- one that I dont take lightly. I want to
thank you for your support and look forward to working
with you again
in the future. For now have yourself a great Autumn!
